Notes and Stats from former Angels players

• Troy Percival has made two appearances and is 2-0. This past Sunday, Percival entered in the 4th inning with 0 outs and 2 runners and stranded both of them. He then had his first at-bat since 1996 and struck out. After walking the lead off batter in the following inning, he was replaced.
• Scott Spiezio has missed a week due to an infection in his left index finger.
• Jeff Weaver is pitching like it's the post-season. In his first 6 starts, his era was 14.32. Since coming off the DL, he has started 5 games and has an era of 1.65. Last week he had one start against Toronto and went 8 innings allowing just one run on a solo home run.
• Scott Schoeneweis has given up only one earned run in his past 10 outings.
• DerrickTurnbow has held the opponent scoreless in 11 of his last 12 appearances.
• Kevin Gregg received a blown save for the first time this season after saving 15 straight.
• Paul Byrd has started 14 games this season and walked only 5 batters in 86.2 innings.
• J.C. Romero was added to the roster of the Philadelphia Phillies (He was earlier cut by the Red Sox) and has pitched in three games with them.
• Former Angel catcher Jerry Narron (1983-86) was fired as manger of the Cincinnati Reds after going 31-51 (.378) this season and 157-179 (.467) overall in 2+ seasons.
