Seattle. Angels. AL West.

O.K. we salvaged a split with Toronto. We can all breathe. Tonight we will be starting a three game series with Seattle. So far the series standings for the year are at 8-4, pretty good considering that the Mariners are just two games back.

Is this next series the most important one of the year? No not yet. If we sweep the Mariners maybe it is the most important series, if they sweep us, possibly it is even more important. But with six weeks left there is still a lot of baseball left.

Right now we should all be hoping the Yankees continue to cool off and head back towards the team that started the year, not the team that was dominating everyone just over a week ago. The Halos are two up on Seattle and Seattle is two up on New York. I have to mention Detroit in the Wild Card race because they are still in it at four games behind Seattle. Even a small winning streak from the TiGGer’s can bring them back into the front of the picture fast.

Tonight Lackey will be going again for the Angels and after his last two starts lets hope he returns to form. The key to this game is going to be offense. Kendry Morales needs to hit like he has been hitting in Salt Lake this last month and Garret Anderson needs to show some consistency. I will take ten RBI’s again lets just spread them over a few games.

Remember to wear your red and watch out for more evidence of the arm switching conspiracy. I’ve been hearing rumors of some alarming but good news when Seattle visited Texas.
