The Dodgers signed infielder Shea Hillenbrand to a minor league contract and assigned him to Triple-A Las Vegas.
Hillenbrand was recently given an audition by the Padres and hit .147 (5-for-34) at Triple-A Portland. His ops was .348.
In 53 games with the Angels this season, Hillenbrand hit .254 with 3 home runs.
