I know that I'm beating a dead horse by mentioning the difference between Home Santana and Road Santana, but today I offer two solutions.
First, a look at his home and road splits throughout his career.
HOME HOME ROAD ROAD TOTAL TOTAL
Year W-L ERA W-L ERA W-L ERA
2005 9-3 3.18 3-5 7.43 12-8 4.65
2006 10-2 3.02 6-6 5.95 16-8 4.28
2007 2-1 2.57 0-4 7.86 2-5 5.51
Career 21-6 3.04 9-15 6.69 30-21 4.56
Santana Solution #1
Have Dustin Moseley start on the road in place of Ervin Santana. Santana could be used as a long reliever in between starts. The following list shows the scheduled starts up to the All Star Break. Joe Saunders could also be called up to fill in. Saunders currently has a 3.04 era in AAA Salt Lake.
Santana May 18 vs Dodgers
Moseley May 24 at Tigers
Santana May 29 vs Mariners
Santana Jun 03 vs Orioles
Moseley Jun 09 at Cardinals
Moseley Jun 15 at Dodgers
Santana Jun 20 vs Astros
Santana Jun 26 vs Royals
Moseley Jul 03 at Rangers
Moseley Jul 08 at Yankees
Santana Solution #2
Use scheduled off days to skip Santana in the rotation if the Angels are on the road.
Santana May 18 vs Dodgers
Santana May 25 at Yankees (1 career game at NYY - 6.1ip 1er)
Santana May 30 vs Mariners
Santana Jun 04 vs Twins

Santana Jun 22 vs Pirates
Santana Jun 27 vs Royals
Santana Jul 06 at Yankees (1 career game at NYY - 6.1ip 1er)
Here's the breakdown of skipping Santana on off days. (Proof that all other starters get at least 4 days rest.)
